Preparation

           insurance cost.

I had made a reservation earlier in January. I have made the choice to pay in cash when arriving in Sydney (but when doing the reservation, must include a credit card for verification)

• ·        Money: The exchange rate is MYR2.84 to AUD1. The rate changed frequently, so try to get your best rate!

My Trip budget for 5 days 4 nights including hotel price is AUD800 ~ MYR2300

• ·         Food: immigration Australia quite strict in bringing outside food into their country.

I decide to bring this few foods with labelled: Nasi Impit segera, canned food ADABI (Ikan bilis sambal, kasi ayam, tuna), Mee Goreng SEDAP.

• ·         Visa AUD20- https://www.eta.immi.gov.au/ETAS3/etas

The application will approved immediately, and the Visa allowed you to access Australia within 1 year.

• ·         Itinerary: Required to do research on a trip that you want to go. Try googling about Sydney, example keyword, 10 best things to do in Sydney. This will effect what you want to see, play within your budget trip! So, here is my own Itinerary to share :
• ·         Medicine: There will be a form on the flight you need to key in for declaration items that you bring. *Just be prepare any medicine for you since, medicine in Australia is quite expensive!
• ·         Fitness: If you plan to use fully Public Transport in Sydney, you need to make sure do a simple jog or do a lot of walking a week before the trip. Just to make sure you make the most of your time in Sydney sightseeing or just lying in bed because of illness!
• ·         Attire: Since it is autumn, sweater is a must and don’t forget to bring rain coat/windbreaker!

29 April, Wednesday

It’s a mid-night flight route taken From KLIA departure 11.30pm and expected arrival to SYD 10am. The flight takes 8 hours. Sydney local time different is only 3 hours quick from Malaysia.

Variety foods and drinks

Day 1 : 30 May, Thursday

930am finally arrived in Sydney International Airport. After collect all the luggage, first thing to do before going out from the airport is looking for a simcard, Airport Gate Pass (Train Ticket) Right after the arrival gate, there is a small booth in blue selling a LEBARA phone simcard. Actually there is other telco provided that can buy inside the airport such as OPAL, Voldafone etc. Its up to you to choose the best. For mine, i choose LEBARA.

Price for this simcard is only AUD 20. 

included 10AUD international call credit and 10AUD 1G Data.

Trust me, its more than enough for you to Facebooking, instagram, waze (map) googling, upload pictures and etc for 5 Day!

Simply ask the promoter to set up the simcard for your phone.

Airport Gate Pass (Train Ticket from Airport International - Central Station)

You can only buy one way pass ticket cost AUD 17 . There will be a small counter before you enter the Train terminal which is inside the Airport Building - Just follow the Train Station signboard!

Les-Miserable Theatre Ticket

Before heading to Springfield Lodge (our place to stay later) by train, actually can direct from Airport International Station - Kings Cross Station, i drop by Central Station to buy a theatre ticket at the Box Office Counter. Im so excited since this was my first time to watch a theatre outside Malaysia. The show 730pm at the same day we arrive. After that we walk through the street to Town Hall Station.

Heading to Kings Cross - Check in Springfield Lodge
Take a train from Town Hall Station to Kings Cross Station (around 8 min). The train station is between shop lot along side the street. After arrived, we walk to the left for 5 min. Take a walk Kings Cross Street
3pm - While waiting for the Les-Miserable show tonight, i just take a walk to buy some grocery (actually there is few halal restaurant along the street) . There is a Coles Hypermarket on the right side (walk 5 min from hotel)
